My friend has just met a new boyfriend who has a business which makes calibration labels which are used by laboratories and the like. She is very keen on this new man and feels for the first time in ages that he is someone who she may have a long term relationship with. His calibration labels business takes up a lot of his time and he is often there from early in the morning until late at night. However, this does not bother my friend. She says that she is really happy that she has met someone who is so hardworking and says she much prefers that to somebody who had no ambition or drive. The fact that his calibration labels business is doing really well has also had an effect on my friend I am sure although I know she would be horrified if I suggested this.. I do not mean to describe her has being mercenary as this is far from the truth but I feel that she has attained a good standard of living over the years and she would only be truly happy with somebody who had at least as good a standard of living as she did.

I work in a large department store in the electrical department and part of my job is to make sure that all the electrical labels that are needed for a particular product are displayed prominently at all times. It is obvious that electric labels need to be easily located and understood as there could be real safety issues if they were not there. However, lots of the electrical labels on the products can be difficult to understand and I have had many customers telling me this. The other day a lady came to me asking about vacuum cleaners and when I explained to her in detail what the product`s features were she was really grateful for my help. I explained to her that it was my job to ensure customer satisfaction but she told me that she had never had such a high standard of service in any other shop and usually she has to rely on labels to help her out which are often really difficult to decipher. I totally understood how she felt and have talked to my bosses about how we might get around this problem. They seemed very receptive to my comments and I really hope that we can sort something out.

 

 

PAT Test Labels

 

My sister works in a laboratory and she is responsible for making sure that PAT Test Labels are in place to indicate whether a particular item has passed or failed a safety test. As you can imagine, PAT Test Labels are crucial in a laboratory setting as they can really show whether a particular product is safe. My sister needs to make sure that the laboratory does not ever run out of PAT Test Labels and she does her job very well. Although she says that it might sound boring to outsiders, she tells me that her job involves much more than this. She works in close partnership with the chemists and she is relied upon daily to do some very important jobs indeed. Moreover, she really enjoys the company of the people she works with and she told me that two of the chemists in particular have become really good friends of hers. I am really pleased about this as I was beginning to worry about her social life as she is based in a different city these days to the rest of the family and I was concerned that she might become lonely.

My friend owns a very trendy clothes shop in the suburbs of Manchester and his shop is constantly filled with all the young and trendy people of the area. Last week he asked me if I could help him out a little as he was really busy. He had decided to have a sale but had no time to affix the sale labels to all of the clothes. Of course, I was happy to help him put the sale labels on. He has been a close friend for many years and I know he would help me out like a shot if I was in a similar situation. In the event, we ended up having really good fun. As we were sticking the sale labels on everything we had a glass of wine each and a really good chat. What is more, when we had finished, he insisted that I picked an outfit of my choice for my time. At first I refused to take anything at all but he was incredibly insistent and eventually I capitulated and chose the most beautiful summer dress. He told me it looked lovely and I agreed with him. I can`t wait to wear it to a really good party that I am invited to this weekend.
